All this changed in 1964 however when the Frying Pan Inn group consisting of Bill Bridgford, Geof Henke and L G Morrison got a license to construct their restaurant here.
The Frying Pan Inn is a fun-filled bar and grill in the heart of Falls Creek’s famous Village Bowl. Patrons enjoy classic craft beers and superbly prepared BBQ dishes in an elegant rustic-inspired pub atmosphere.
The completion of the Kiewa Hydroelectric Scheme in 1959 marked a new start for Falls Creek, as the village moved from being an offshoot to a major construction site into being an alpine tourism resort valued and promoted by state government agencies.
All this changed in 1964 however when the Frying Pan Inn group consisting of Bill Bridgford, Geof Henke and L G Morrison got a license to construct their restaurant here.
Open in time for the 1965 season, the Frying Pan venue was damaged by fire in 1967. Subsequent renovations dragged on until 1973 when things were back up and running smoothly.
The Frying Pan today is famous for its Apres drinks and darts. This location has always been known as the central hub of The Bowl. Facilities once located here include the Old Race Hut and also the Ski School Meeting Point.
